On 7/31/24 at 9:50am, an annual inspection was made to the facility by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Tammy Dutra and Elizabeth Friese. At 11:10am the home was toured inside and outside. The licensee and assistants were supervising 12 children and operating within the licensed capacity and ratio requirements. The facility’s operating hours are 6:30am-5:30pm, Monday–Friday. The floor plan submitted by the licensee was reviewed and verified. The off-limits areas of the home are 3 bedrooms, shed and garage and were made inaccessible by baby gate, door knob covers and locks. The children use the back yard as the outdoor play area and it is fully fenced. The pool is fully fenced with mesh fencing measuring five feet.

Five children's records were reviewed at 10:40am. Three staff records were reviewed at 10:35am. There are currently three adults living in the home.

The following deficiencies were cited CCR 102425 (j)(1) No sleep checks on file for C1-C3 and CCR 102425(c) No individual infant sleep plans on file (see LIC 809D):

Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-andresources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.
